Here is what some of our parents have to say...

Denise Broniek, Mother:

Glen Billings, Dance Coordinator 2007:

The families of The Whistle Stop Co Op Preschool would like to thank you for your generous contribution to this year’s Fundraising Dance & Silent Auction held on February 10 th, 2007. Your support assisted in making this fundraiser a tremendous success. In fact, it was the best ever in our 11 year history of running this event!

The implementation of the Junior Kindergarten program in our locals schools has significantly affected our ability to keep our doors open. Without your generous contribution our preschool would be unable to continue to operate. Again this year, we were able to raise enough money to help fund field trips, purchase new toys, and subsidize teacher’s salaries. Some of the profits will also be allocated for improvements to the Puslinch Community Centre and/or surrounding community.

All sponsors were listed in our auction brochure and we hope that this exposure will be of some benefit to you and/or your business. We appreciate your valuable support and look forward to yet another productive school year. Thank you again for your contribution.

From Jen, Mother:

My son Reid was at Whistle Stop from October 2004 and stayed until December 2005, until he started JK. Reid had a speech delay and was in pretty intensive speech therapy from the age of 2, and had a few behavioural issues that resulted from his speech problems (frustration from not being understood, "running" away from situations he found difficult). Miss Sandra reassured me before he started at Whistle Stop that this was not uncommon in toddlers with speech problems and that they have all had an abundance of experience with children of all learning and developmental stages. It was very important for us to know that Reid would be cared for and taught by people who were patient and caring and who understood his needs. He adapted so easily and developed a bond with Miss Sandra, Miss Janice and Miss Regina that made his first exposure to a school environment a wonderful experience. I feel that his transition to public school was made easier because of his time at Whistle Stop. There was stucture and fun and alot of affection - everything a child needs!!
